JJM – Chem Check Bore Mops are 100% cotton mops designed for applying cleaners and oils or for polishing and drying the bore, our Chem Check Bore Mops are also 100% copper free to prevent false readings with copper-trace chemicals.

We recommend using a bore mop as a final stage to any good cleaning process prior to either oiling or treating a barrel with coatings such as Molybdenum Disulfide or HBN, this ensures removal of any cleaning product residue and loose cleaning patch strands left in the bore.
